The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology invites applications for a faculty position at Assistant, Associate or Professor level.

The position will be available on February 1, 2013. We are specifically seeking applications from outstanding persons with expertise in organic materials. Qualified candidates must hold the Ph.D. degree in related disciplines. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to establish strong research projects, teaching and supervise with students of diverse backgrounds.

Qualified candidates should send the following documents to Professor and Chairman Shih-Hsuan Chiu (Department of Materials Science and Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, No. 43 Sec. 4, Keelung Rd. Taipei 10607, Taiwan) before August 30, 2012.

(1)Curriculum vitae in NSC (National Science Council, Taiwan) format with a publication list
(2)A Copy of Ph.D. degree certificate, postgraduate and undergraduate transcripts.(If the applicant holds the foreign degree, the applicant should go through the degree verification process for his/her degree certificate from the “Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office”)
(3)At least two reference letters, including one from the advisor of his/her Ph.D. study.
(4)A Copy of Ph.D. dissertation and publications in recent 5 years.
(5)Statement of research interests (including a budget requested as the start-up fund) and teaching plans with course titles and outlines.
(6)Other documents for the application (e.g. awards, patents and so on)

PS: Please indicate the proposed position (e.g. assistant professor, associate professor or professor) clearly in the application. If not, we will consider the application only for the position of the assistant professor.
