NTUST Scholarship Application Guidelines for Continuing International Ph.D. Students

I. Eligibility Requirements:
 1. Current Ph.D. students are eligible to apply beginning from their 4th year of doctoral study.
 2. Master’s students who enter the fast-track Ph.D. program at NTUST and who have been awarded the NTUST Scholarship for a complete period of four years are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
 3. Students who are receiving other forms of financial aid from the R.O.C. government or other sources are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. 
II. Award Criteria:
 1. First-time applicants:
  a. Students who have submitted articles to SCI/SSCI journals will receive a tuition waiver.
  b. Students who have published one article in, or one of whose articles has been accepted by an SCI/SSCI journal, will be granted a partial scholarship.
  c. Students who have published two articles in, or two of whose articles have been accepted by SCI/SSCI journals, will be granted a full scholarship.
 2. Continuing applicants:
  a. Students who have submitted articles to SCI/SSCI journals will receive a tuition waiver.
  b. Students who have published one article in, or at least one of whose articles has been accepted by an SCI/SSCI journal, will receive a tuition waiver as well as a monthly stipend of 5,000 NTD from NTUST and at least 3,000 NTD from their academic advisor.
  c. Students who have published two articles in, or two of whose articles have been accepted by SCI/SSCI journals, will be granted a partial scholarship.
  d. Students who have published three articles in, or three of whose articles have been accepted by SCI/SSCI journals, will be granted a full scholarship.
 Applicants should provide the relevant documents as proof and should be either the first author or the first author excluding their advisor. The amount of the full and partial scholarships will be determined according to the terms of the NTUST Scholarship.
III. Award Period: Over the course of one year 
IV. Application Period: To be announced once every semester. For detailed information, please refer to the relevant university announcements. 
V. Required Documents for Application:
 1. One application form
 2. Photocopy of student ID
 3. Transcripts (original copies) of previous academic years
 4. Other supporting materials 

Please submit the application form to Amber Chen in the Office of International Affairs no later than 4:00 p.m. on December 13th , 2018.
