MOST Scholarship Program for Elite Doctoral Students (Limited to 2020 Fall Semester Ph.D. freshmen, deadline on September 18, 2020)

The 2020 " MOST Scholarship Program for Elite Doctoral Students " will accept applications from now until September 18, 2020.

I. Eligibility:
First-year freshmen of the doctoral program enrolled at 2020 Fall Semester.
The following students may not apply for this scholarship: drop out of school, in-service students and students who come from China, Hong Kong and Macau.

II. Award Amount:NT$ 40,000 per month.

III. Duration of the Scholarship:
Maximum 4 years. The subsidy qualification will be cancelled if the student drops out of school or quits during the subsidy period.

IV. Required Documents:
A. Application Form
B. Copy of master's degree diploma (Not required for students that directly pursuit of Ph.D. Degree)
C. Master’s thesis (Not required for students that directly pursuit of Ph.D. Degree)
D. Recommendation letter from advisor
E. Future research plan in Ph.D. program
F. Other outstanding academic performance approved in the department evaluation (such as past award records, academic journals...)

V. Review Procedure:
A. From the eligible students of each department, select a scholarship recommendation list with a maximum of 10% of the number of doctoral students in that department. If there are more than 2 recommended lists, they must be sorted and sent to the college for review.
B. From among the eligible students, each college selects a scholarship recommendation list with a maximum of 6% of the number of doctoral students from that college, and sends it to the school for review after sorting.
C. The school convenes an "Excellent Doctoral Scholarship Review Committee" to review the recommendation list of each college. The award list should take into account the characteristics and equity of each college.

Department of MSE can recommend two students (including Taiwanese students and international students). Please submit the application form and all the required documents to Miss Li at the Office of MSE (E1-112) no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2020. Late submission will not be accepted.

Attention!!!
International students who get the "MOST Scholarship Program for Elite Doctoral Students" must give up the NTUST scholarship and should pay the tuition and fees.
