Admission information
IS(International Semiconductor Processing and Equipment Engineering Program)
Introduction
This two-year post-baccalaureate program, supported by industry funding, recruits graduates from overseas universities. Instruction is primarily in English with supplementary Chinese courses. Students from the United States, Japan, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, and other countries are welcome to enroll in this program. After two years of study in Taiwan, they acquire foundational knowledge and Chinese language communication skills, earning a bachelor's degree from our university. They may then pursue graduate studies domestically or enter the workforce, thereby strengthening Taiwan's scientific research and industrial workforce.
Aim
Taiwan possesses a complete vertical semiconductor supply chain and is one of the global leaders in advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes. In recent years, semiconductor manufacturers have a strong demand for expansion, and the semiconductor talent pool has gradually become saturated. Therefore, how to recruit talent people will be the key issue to semiconductor industries. This program focuses on industrial technologies such as semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation control, supplemented by diverse learning across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors to foster interdisciplinary technical education and application. Courses balance theory with practical experience, collaborating with the semiconductor industry to design internships and project-based learning aligned with industry demands. It provides a professional development platform for international talent seeking careers in semiconductor-related fields.
